The
term "space-filling" applies to such systems, for example,
as sugar cubes packed in a box or the closest packing of identical
spheres -- like oranges at the market. Space-filling three-dimensional
order offers the prospect of adding more and more like-objects in
all directions without end. The x-module too is capable of filling
space in all directions. Below are examples of how this most versatile
of tensegrity modules can be extended indefinitely.
